AMAZON GARDEN EXPEDITION – PRIVATE PRIMATE SAFARI | 03 NIGHTS

An immersive journey into one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth, designed for those who seek rare encounters, scientific depth, and the quiet luxury of being truly present in the forest.

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL | THE LIVING FOREST1

Theme: The Amazon Garden and its Green Guardians

Arrival at Jardim da Amazônia Lodge, a secluded refuge set within a pristine forest corridor.

You are welcomed with fresh regional juices and a gentle introduction to the property, its philosophy, and the ongoing scientific research that defines this experience.

In the afternoon, a soft immersion begins along the Buriti Boardwalk, where the forest gradually reveals its rhythms. Here, in its natural habitat, the elusive bald-faced saki (Pithecia mittermeieri) may be observed — a key species in forest regeneration, acting as a true “gardener” through seed dispersal.

As the day settles, return to the lodge.

Dinner is served in an intimate setting, highlighting Amazonian ingredients with refined simplicity.

The evening unfolds with a curated talk on endemic primates and conservation initiatives led by the Jardim da Amazônia Field Station, offering depth and context to the days ahead.

Overnight.

DAY 2 – IN SEARCH OF THE SPIDER MONKEY

Theme: The Giant Frugivore of Southern Amazonia

At first light, breakfast is served before departure by motorboat along the quiet waters of the Rio Claro.

The morning leads to the Angelim Trail, a remote area known for the feeding grounds of primates and the sleeping sites of the black-faced spider monkey — the largest frugivorous primate in the region and a flagship species for conservation.

Moving through the forest with expert guidance, each step is intentional, each sound meaningful.

Following the trail, a river safari unfolds — a silent glide through flooded forests and reflective waters, where wildlife observation happens naturally and without intrusion.

Return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, exploration continues through a curated network of trails: Laboratory Trail, Grandfather’s Lagoon, Tapir Clay Lick, and Sucuri Lagoon.

This mosaic of habitats offers the rare opportunity to encounter multiple primate species in a single day, including the Parauacu (bald-faced saki), black-faced spider monkey, black tailed marmoset, and yellow-breasted capuchin.

Return at sunset.

DAY 3 – ANCIENT TREES & FOREST SYMPHONIES

Theme: Among Centenary Giants and the Invisible Voice of the Amazon

After breakfast, a short navigation along the Rio Claro leads to the starting point of the Piquiá Trail.

This immersive walk passes through dense, towering forest dominated by centuries-old trees, where scale and silence redefine perspective.

Among them stand the majestic Piquiá trees, guardians of the forest canopy.

Throughout the walk, the forest reveals itself through sound — most notably the haunting and unmistakable call of the Cricrió (Lipaugus vociferans), one of the Amazon’s most iconic and mysterious voices.

Return to the lodge for lunch.

As the light softens, the experience transitions to one of the most visually striking moments of the journey. In the late afternoon, you are guided to a Macaw Nesting Site, accessed by trail or canoe. Here, against the backdrop of the setting sun, macaws gather in a vivid display of color, movement, and sound — a raw and unforgettable expression of Amazonian life.

Dinner and overnight.

DAY 4 – THE DUET OF DAWN & DEPARTURE

Theme: The Rare Song of the Mato Grosso Titi Monkey

Before sunrise, departure by vehicle toward a remote section along the Arinos River.

In this quiet and undisturbed setting, a rare encounter awaits.

As the forest awakens, guests have the unique opportunity to listen to the territorial dawn duet of the Mato Grosso titi monkey (Plecturocebus grovesi) — a critically endangered and highly localized species.

Breakfast is served in nature, by the riverbank, in one of the most intimate and authentic moments of the journey.

Return to the lodge.

Lunch and check-out.
