DAY 1
Departure from a Hotel in Cuiabá or (from a lodge on the tranaspantaneira) early morning, drive to Poconé (100km). Here we will take the Transpantaneira Highway and start a car safari making some stops to photograph a great variety of birds and lot of caiman, with the possibility to spot deers, coatis, capybaras, giant anteaters, anaconda, and with lucky also jaguars. Arrival at Jofre port at noon (end of the Transpantaneira Road). Boarding Jacare House Boat and lunch on boardwhile the boat sails to the Piquiri River. After lunch, departure of boats injaguar search. At dusk, lecture on jaguars. Dinner andovernight stay;(L-D)
DAY 2
Full day looking for jaguars. After lunch Jacaré Boatnavigates to Rio Negrinho neighborhood, where he receives the group at the end of the day. At dusk lecture about the Pantanal. Dinner and overnight. (B-L-D)
DAY 3
At dawn Jacaré Boat starts sailing down the river. After coffeegroup goes out on motorboats exploring the Negrinho and Negrao rivers, returning to Jacaré boatat lunch time. Arrival of the house boat in the vicinity of Baía doBurro (Pantanal National Park) in the middle of the afternoon. Group explores Baia do Burro bymotorboats. Dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)
DAY 4
Trail of Morro do Caracará at dawn, and after the walk visit to thearchaeological site on the same hill. Group goes by boat to the farmAcorizal, where he meets Jacaré. Lunch. In the afternoon boat ride throughthe Moquém hill and possible walk on the Acorizal farm. Otherpossibility is to start navigation during lunch, and group follows boardedto the Morro da Gaíva, where the group visits the Archaeological Site of Ponta doMorro, and returns to the ship to enjoy navigation. Jacare boat navigates the lagoons Gaíva and Uberaba, stopping overnight to enter the channel of the river.(B,L,D)
DAY 5
The goal today is to sail to the vicinity of the Taiaman Reserve, while the mother boat sails, the group explores in the morning andlater the corixo and bays of the region, such as Baia do Cervo, PortoConceição, and others. (B, L, D)
DAY 6
The group departs early in search of the jaguars, skirting the boat reserve and finding Jacare on the other arm for lunch. The group continues by boat during the afternoon while the Jacare Boat follows the trip upstream, planning an overnight stay at the top of the reserve.
DAY 7
In the morning the group explores some attractions of the region, such as Corixo do Cai-Cai, Ninhal do Presidente, and ninhal of Baia das Mares. The group returns to Jacaré for lunch, and in the afternoon sails aboard the mother boat. At the late afternoon fishing activity can be offered to those interested. The goal is to spend the night in the vicinity of the Jauru River
DAY 8
The group explores the Jauru River early, returning to the boat Jacaré in the middle in the morning. We follow trip Paraguay up, until arrival in Cáceres, where the group is transferred to Cuiabá (or overnight another night at Jacaré, leaving the boat the next morning).
OBSERVATIONS
NOTE: Boats for 1 to 3 pax: 40Hp outboard; from 4 pax up: Marajo 19 feet with 115HP outboard.

Note: keep in mind that the above itinerary is a suggestion and that the activities described may be altered due to weather conditions, group's interests or circumstances beyond our control. Our groups have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 9 guests, so let us know if you wish to have a private or custom-made tour. Please contact us in order to book your spot. In order to join a pre-set group please check our upcoming tours.
Attention: please for Jaguar tours schedule an early morning flight to Cuiabá or consider overnighting at a city hotel in order for us to set up an early departure to the Pantanal. As it takes about 5 hours to reach Jofre from Cuiabá, departures are usually set between 6am and 7am. The return to Cuiabá on the last day is at around 6pm so plan your return flight accordingly.
What to bring: light weight pants, jeans, T-shirts, long sleeve shirts, shorts, extra socks and underwear, sandals, walking shoes or tennis shoes, windbreaker/light rainjacket, sun hat, flashlight, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, camera, film, extra batteries. Sweatshirts or sweaters are recommend from June to October.
